On Tuesday, May 10th, 2022, Waad Academy hosted the first Cambridge Meet-up event post-covid. The event took place in the main auditorium at Waad Academy, and was attended by more than 40 Cambridge International schools leaders in Jeddah and Cambridge International commercial partners.
Mrs. Thuraya Batterjee, COO of Waad Education, honoured the event with her presence.
Mr. Radwan Chahrouk, Head of Boys’ Schools at Waad Academy, presided over the event, greeting the guests and giving the welcoming speech.
This was followed by a speech by Mr. Raed Omar Brahedni, Cambridge International representative in Saudi Arabia. In his speech, Mr. Brahedni thanked Waad Academy for hosting the event, gave general updates on the relation between Cambridge International and affiliated schools and organisations, and presented special awards to the Chairman of the Cambridge Schools Community – Jeddah (CSCJ) and the secretaries of the Community.
The keynote was followed by a dinner and coffee, an opportunity for social and professional networking between international schools leaders.
Waad Academy looks forward to hosting similar events in the future, and to remain a shining beacon of community engagement in the region.
